Recently, we (and a whole lot of other folks) talked about the possibility that Twitter might expand its character limit from 140 to 10,000. We all speculated on what that might mean for our respective industries, and if, in fact, it would mean anything at all. Individuals and die-hard tweeters weren’t as excited as businesses, which were ready to embrace the opportunity to connect with customers on a more in-depth, personal level.
All the speculation came to naught on Friday, March 18, 2016, a.k.a., Twitter’s tenth anniversary, when CEO Jack Dorsey told The Today Show’s Matt Lauer that 140 wasn’t going anywhere. But that doesn’t mean Twitter wouldn’t keep tweaking its features. Here at Intouch, we’ll be keeping our eye on future developments and how those might (or might not) affect pharma marketers.
