A glamorous royal wedding isn’t the only thing that is putting the UK in the news lately; they are ahead of the game for industry regulators who are addressing social media guidelines that directly deal with prescription drugs.However, rather than formulating new rules for social media sites, the Prescription Medicines Code of Practice Authority (PMCPA) put together a Q&A document to explain how they feel all of this digital communication fits into their existing regulations.

The Q&A document explains how to use these digital communication tools within the already existing rules. To break it down, it is simply telling companies they can use social media mediums if they stick to the ABPI Code of Practice — UK pharma’s self-regulation rules.
