Regeneron Teams With Intouch to Humanize Retinal Diseases

By Penelope Larson | Category: Creative |

The virtual and augmented reality market is expanding, and pharma has begun to recognize the value of employing this promising tech. “But it’s not so cool and fun when nobody uses your asset,” Natalie Mancuso, a senior product manager at Regeneron, said last year at MM&M‘s FutureTech Pharma workshop in Philadelphia. Mancuso worked with Intouch Solutions on the launch of In My Eyes, a virtual- and augmented-reality application for patients with retinal disease.

In My Eyes helps caregivers and healthcare providers understand what it’s like to live with three degenerative eye diseases — neovascular age-related macular degeneration, diabetic macular edema, and macular edema following retinal vein occlusion — by letting them virtually walk in disease sufferers’ shoes.
