Pounding the Pavement for Fido
At Intouch, we’re always on the lookout for ways to support people — from our clients and the patients they serve to our own team members and the people they care about. Last month, two Intouchers from the Kansas City office, social media manager Chelsey Walters and social media analyst Kindal Baki, went #ALLin on behalf of our four-legged friends by participating in the 29th Annual Dog-N-Jog.
Held on the Country Club Plaza, Dog-N-Jog included one- and two-mile runs, a one-mile walk and a Wiener Dog Dash. Dozens of participants pounded the pavement with their dogs in support of the Humane Society of Greater Kansas City, which is currently celebrating its 100th year of saving and improving the lives of dogs and cats in the Kansas City community.
Both Chelsey and Kindal have a passion for helping animals and supporting organizations like the Humane Society that are dedicated to aiding our four-legged friends. In fact, they both felt inspired after participating in Dog-N-Jog.
“It was great to see how caring owners can be for their pets,” said Chelsey. ”Intouch is just starting to really get into animal-health work, and seeing owners with their pets helped inform me about how we should be engaging with those people.”
Chelsey and Kindal will get another chance to see dog parents going above and beyond for their fur-babies today, when Intouch hosts Bring Your Dog to Work Day in the Kansas City office. View our Facebook page for fun photos from this wooftacular day!
