The year started off with a bang here at Intouch as our founder and CEO Faruk Capan was named to the inaugural class of Top 40 Healthcare Transformers by Medical Marketing & Media (MM&M) on January 1.

Our always-humble leader downplays his achievements and blushes at the accolades, but I’m not afraid to brag on him. Faruk values his employees’ ideas, no matter where they come from. And, never satisfied with the status quo, he continually fosters a culture of creativity and innovation.

Faruk takes calculated risks. Inevitably, these risks are for the betterment of our business, our clients, and — ultimately — the lives of those impacted by our clients’ products.

Faruk’s not only a healthcare transformer; he’s a great human being. I sent a quick email to a few Intouchers asking for single words to describe him. The overwhelming amount of descriptors speak for themselves: pioneer, genuine, motivator, generous, encouraging, dedicated, honorable and innovative.

Under Faruk’s leadership, Intouch is the largest independent healthcare agency in the U.S., with over 500 employees. Clients look to him as a strategic advisor, and employees regard him as pure inspiration. Nobody else has given so much to clients, employees and the industry — literally transforming the way pharmas communicate in today’s modern world.

Faruk, from all of us at Intouch, and in the words of Optimus Prime, “It’s been an honor serving with you.”
