Intouch spent 2016 going #ALLin for patients and caregivers. We traveled the country and met people who have multiple sclerosis, type 1 diabetes, cystic fibrosis, leukemia, and other life-altering conditions. We also met their friends, family, and caregivers. After talking with hundreds of people at dozens of health-related walks and other events, we realized that caregivers were often the unsung heroes, the folks behind the scenes working to make patients’ lives better through their love, patience and unflagging support. But were caregivers always getting what they needed? We didn’t think so.
The stories we heard inspired us to bring to together a diverse group to brainstorm solutions. The #ALLin Accelerator event, held in September 2016 in New York City, was an opportunity for patients, caregivers, developers, creatives, strategists, and executives from the technology and healthcare industries to focus on the needs of caregivers.
