In 2018, Intouch was recognized as the first-ever Diversity and Inclusion Champion by Med Ad News for its work in bringing diverse voices and perspectives to the organization through panel discussions, multicultural celebrations and other educational activities. In 2019, we worked hard to deserve that honor — not simply because we like awards (who doesn’t?), but because it’s the right thing to do. We know our diversity makes us stronger, so we celebrate and educate whenever we can. Following are just four ways Intouch embraced and supported employees from all walks of life in 2019 — check it out!

Intouch Holiday Season Kicks Off With Diwali and Dussehra
At Intouch, we know that our diverse workforce makes us stronger; we also love a celebration, particularly as the days grow shorter and colder. So, when given the opportunity to sample hot, delicious food, visit with coworkers and learn about different cultures, we take it.

Intouch Offices Celebrate National Hispanic American Heritage Month
As part of Intouch’s commitment to ensuring an inclusive and diverse work culture, our New York, Chicago, Kansas City and Boston offices recently got in on the celebratory action with Hispanic-themed happy hours that featured food, drink, musical performances and educational posters featuring Spanish words with English translations.

Intouch Hosts Pride Month Open Mic Panel
Intouch’s Inclusion & Diversity Alliance (IDA) hosted a panel on June 27 in the Chicago office featuring a handful of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer or questioning, intersex, and asexual or allied (LGBTQIA) employees who generously agreed to share their personal stories and talk about what pride means to them. They also took follow-up questions from the audience of about 100 Intouchers; dozens more attended virtually.

Intouch Wraps February With Black History Month Happy Hour
Like many agencies, Intouch recognizes the importance of taking time out to celebrate together, whether via an informal team toast after a big project wraps up, or with the somewhat regular – and only slightly formal – happy hours we have during the non-summer months. For February, the Chicago office hosted a trivia event in honor of Black History Month.
