If you have kids, or you’ve been around kids or people who have kids, you’ve probably heard of Elf on the Shelf. The 2005 children’s book of the same name comes with an elf doll, who — so the story goes — acts as one of Santa’s scouts, watching to see whether children have been “naughty or nice.”
To bring a little holiday cheer to Intouch’s Chicago office, VP of relationship marketing strategy Tracy Kossler decided Intouchers in the Windy City might enjoy a few elf sightings of their own … even though they’re all grown up, mostly. That’s where Elfie the Elf comes in. Over the course of 12 days, Elfie made appearances around the Chicago office, and no one knew who was creating the adorable vignettes.
“I originally wasn’t going to tell anyone it was me,” said Tracy. “But I got caught this morning. Who gets into the office at 7:15 am on the Friday before Christmas??”
Despite being caught, Tracy said she had a terrific time placing Elfie, and the response among coworkers was great.
“It has been unbelievably fun,” Tracy exclaimed. “And Chicago is totally abuzz!”
Take a look at Elfie’s journey, and just try not to smile.
