Dancing Their Way to GMA
Every Intoucher has a unique talent. But Jason Denney, Senior Technical Documentation Analyst in the Overland Park office, takes talent to another level with his “classic” dance moves!
In fact, Jason recently found himself on live TV in the middle of Times Square, competing with his 12-year-old daughter, Lilly, on Good Morning America’s Dance-Off: Daddy Daughter Edition.
After witnessing Jason’s intense dance skills to the hit song, “Classic” by MKTO, we followed up with him on the experience.
According to Jason, he and Lilly love to dance. Whether in the car, making dinner or playing the Wii, the duo likes to turn up the music and dance away.
After seeing the Dance-Off call for entries, Jason’s wife encouraged him and Lilly to enter. Jason and Lilly put on their dancing shoes, and created an original routine, which they submitted to Good Morning America along with a short essay on why they like to dance.
Within an hour of submitting their essay and video, Jason and Lilly found out they were one of four semi-finalists in the competition. The four videos were posted online and viewers were asked to vote for their favorite daddy daughter duo, who would then compete in a live dance-off in Times Square.
Fortunately, the voters were in favor of Jason and Lilly, and gave them the opportunity of a lifetime to dance on live TV and take a trip to the big apple.
On August 28th, Jason and Lilly impressed Good Morning America viewers with their solid dance routine and freestyle skills, coming in as a close second to the other daddy daughter duo.
Thrilled by the experience, Jason thanks all Intouchers for their support, help and votes. Stating that it was an amazing, one-of-a-kind experience for him and his daughter.
