Nearly 100 people were in attendance when Intouch founder and CEO Faruk Capan spoke at the Overland Park, KS, Chamber of Commerce’s Executive Leadership Series event this week. The quarterly breakfast event features leading area executives who share “insights on career and personal success” with others from across the business community.

During his presentation, Faruk — who was recently appointed to the Chamber’s 2018 board of directors — spoke about the culture shock of moving from Turkey to the United States as a graduate student, finding his passion (technology!), lessons he’s learned during his more than two decades in the digital pharma industry, and the importance of humility, concern for others and relationship building — in personal and professional life.

“It was such a great pleasure to share Intouch’s story and experiences with our local business leaders,” said Faruk. “It would be a great outcome if any of upcoming leaders apply our learnings to their organizations.”

The OP Chamber of Commerce, which is celebrating its 50th anniversary this year, has more than 800 members and boasts the notable honor of being one of fewer than 1% of the nation’s chambers to earn Five Star accreditation from the US Chamber of Commerce.
