“ I feel like we are kind of going through a renaissance now in technology.”

Q

What technological innovation in the last few years are you the most excited about?

Probably wearable technology. I am not just referring to the Fitbit, but also other wearable health devices and also apps on your phone that have some of the same functionality. Things that you can wear that actually monitor your health and are integrated with your medical health records. They are providing patients with much more awareness of their own health and facilitating stronger collaboration with their caretakers, ultimately improving outcomes.

Q

How many languages do you speak?

English only.

Q

What was the last good book you read?

Kingkiller Chronicles, by Patrick Rothfuss.

Q

What was your first paying job?

I grew up on a fruit farm so I worked at an early age. It was my uncle’s farm and I happened to live next door. It was mostly apples, but we grew a pretty wide variety of fruits, like cherries, pears, apricots and peaches. Favorite fruit is probably apples.

Q

What was your favorite college course?

Environmental Sciences.

Q

So, what drew you to Intouch?

I remember a year or two ago when I saw that CEO Faruk Capan won industry person of the year. i remember thinking, agency of the year twice and now this - where did these guys come from? i was very impressed that intouch was a privately held company doing interesting things. i love how we are constantly challenging ourselves and just doing great work.

Q

If you could have lunch with any person, living or dead (other than a relative) who would it be?

Trey Parker. I’m just a huge fan of South Park, their movies, their play Book of Mormon. I think those guys are my level of irreverence.

Q

How did you get started in this industry?

I put myself through college as a freelance graphic designer.

Q

What is your role at Intouch?

Laundry. Just an overall hatred of all things laundry related.

Q

What is your favorite drink?

Scotch with two ice cubes. My go-to is Glenlivet 12 years, but if I’m splurging I’ll go a little older.

Q

Why were you given your name?

I think my Mom had a crush on Ryan O’Neal.

Q

Do you have any hidden talents?

I am sure I do, but they are hidden really well.

Q

If you could live during any time period, which would it be?

Other than the present, maybe the renaissance. I feel like we are kind of going through a renaissance now in technology, so it would be a nice parallel. I like the concept of an age of prolific evolution.

Q

Are you a morning person or a night owl?

Both – I don’t sleep well.
